Nursing Home Abuse Center - Protecting Our Seniors 

The Nursing Home Abuse Center (NHAC) was founded on the principles of dignity and respect for some of the most vulnerable citizens, seniors. Nursing Home Abuse Center (NHAC) is a free online resource with information about senior and elder dangers and safety options.


ADEAR Center

ADEAR Center is a current, comprehensive, unbiased source of information about Alzheimer’s Disease. The ADEAR Center is operated as a service of the National Institute on Aging.


Atlanta Senior Resources

Senior Resource Directory provides senior related information in the Metro Atlanta region, both in a booklet format as well as an online directory

Georgia Ombudsman

The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman seeks to improve the quality of life for Georgia residents of long-term care facilities (nursing homes, intermediate care facilities for the mentally handicapped, personal care homes, and community living arrangements).

The State Office certifies and trains community ombudsmen who work to resolve concerns of long-term care facility residents statewide. We emphasize residents' wishes in assisting to resolve problems.   If you have questions, concerns or complaints, you can contact the Ombudsman for your county or area.



Georgia Homeless Shelters And Social Services

The Homeless Shelter Directory was started as a list of homeless shelters. They now provide listings for homeless shelters, homeless service organizations, monetary assistance, low cost medical treatment centers, free clinics and more. 


The Senior Corp

Senior Corps is a network of programs that tap the experience, skills, and talents of older citizens to meet community challenges. Through its three programs – Foster Grandparents, Senior Companions, and RSVP (the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).
