The Georgia Department of Human Resources (DHR), Division of Aging Services (DAS) provides continued service improvement and innovation to benefit Georgia’s seniors, their caregivers and families. The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman seeks to improve the quality of life for Georgia residents of long-term care facilities (nursing homes, intermediate care facilities for the mentally handicapped, personal care homes, and community living arrangements). The State Office certifies and trains community ombudsmen who work to resolve concerns of long-term care facility residents statewide.
